HARRISBURG – Rep. Donna Scheuren (R-Montgomery) announced today that multiple schools across the 147th House District have received funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s (PCCD) School Safety and Security Committee (SSSC).
Two schools in the 147th District received targeted school safety grants for nonpublic schools:
- Dock Mennonite Academy received $75,000.
- Souderton Vantage Academy received $75,000.
Four school districts received school safety and mental health grants:
- Boyertown Area School District received $221,273.
- Perkiomen Valley School District received $190,233.
- Pottsgrove School District received $157,577.
- Souderton Area School District received $217,929.
“This funding is critical for further investment into our area schools,” said Scheuren. “Making sure our schools are safe is a top priority of mine and this grant money will keep school officials focused on their security needs for either newer equipment, advanced communications, enhanced surveillance, or even more school resource police officers.”
