HARRISBURG – Rep. Donna Scheuren (R-Montgomery) was sworn in today for her second term as representative of the 147th District. The 147th covers portions of Western Montgomery County, including the townships of Franconia (part), Lower and Upper Salford, Lower and Upper Frederick, New Hanover, Douglass and Upper Pottsgrove.
“I am very excited to be back in Harrisburg representing the 147th for another term,” said Scheuren. “The people elected me to be their voice, and I will continue to advocate for smart budgeting; open space; lower taxes; a business-friendly Commonwealth; the rule of law; deregulation; our first responders; good schools; energy independence; election reform; and the constitutional rights, freedoms and protections bestowed upon every citizen. Undoubtedly, there is much more work to be done. I take the role given to me by my constituents very seriously, and I will never stop fighting for the needs and wants of the fine folks who make up my amazing district.”
Before becoming a state representative, Scheuren played an active role in the community for more than a decade. With three terms of service on the Souderton Area School Board as the board’s vice president and finance chairman, along with board service on the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit and Legislative Committee, she has worked in many capacities for the community. To go with her community service, she is a manufacturer’s representative serving in the industrial commodities and manufacturing sector for nearly 30 years, while her family owns a construction company currently in its 36th year of operation in the Commonwealth. Her two district offices are located at 1885 Swamp Pike, Suite 107, in Gilbertsville and 410 Main St., Suite 200, in Harleysville.
