HARRISBURG – Rep. Donna Scheuren (R-Montgomery) today announced that several projects in the 147th District have received funding via the Pennsylvania Local Share Account (LSA) program.

- Douglass Township will receive $150,000 to fund renovations to its municipal building.
- Upper Pottsgrove Township will receive $80,914 to purchase a new police vehicle and equip it with essential police gear.
- Lower Salford Township will receive $225,000 to construct a two-bay, 1,300 sq ft. police impound garage on township-owned property. For any vehicles that are considered evidence, this building will provide a secure place to store them.
- The Lower Salford Sewer Authority will receive $225,000 to replace sections of the Harleysville Interceptor and adjacent sewer mains located on Main Street, Maple Avenue and Harleysville Pike.
Scheuren partnered with Sen. Tracy Pennycuick to secure funding for the following projects:

- Lower Frederick Township will receive $99,510 to help fund needed renovations for its township facility.
- New Hanover Township will receive $225,708 for the purchase of three new police vehicles to upgrade its current fleet.
- Upper Frederick Township will receive $144,550 to purchase a new backhoe for use. This equipment will play a vital role in various tasks, including clearing roadways and waterways, replacing stormwater infrastructure, loading salt for winter emergencies, and assisting the Volunteer Fire Company.
- Upper Pottsgrove Township will receive $103,635 on behalf of the Goodwill Steam Fire Engine Company No. 1, for the purchase and installation of new power stretchers in four ambulances. This will automate the patient loading and unloading process.
- Upper Salford Township will receive $141,760 to purchase a compact excavator with a tilt bucket and equipment trailer.
“I am passionate when it comes to advocating for project funding in the 147th District, so this announcement is proof of yet another big win. These are all important projects, especially the sewer pipe replacement, so securing this funding is vital to keep our communities thriving,” said Scheuren.
“I will always be proud to help deliver over $1.4 million in funding that benefits our police and EMS departments, along with township improvements and needed maintenance throughout the district.”
The PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71) provides for the distribution of gaming revenues through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to support projects in the public interest within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for these grants through the LSA program.
