HARRISBURG—Rep. Donna Scheuren (R-Montgomery) has been appointed to the House Transportation Committee.
“This is a tremendous honor as I will be able to make a meaningful contribution to transportation policy, infrastructure development, economic growth, safety, environmental sustainability and the well-being of our Commonwealth,” Scheuren said.
The House Transportation Committee plays a crucial role in shaping transportation policy in Pennsylvania. Members contribute to the development and implementation of legislation related to transportation infrastructure, funding allocations and other critical issues.
“My involvement allows me to influence decisions that can have a significant impact on our transportation system, including roads, bridges and railways, and the lives of the people who rely on it,” said Scheuren.
Transportation is also closely tied to Pennsylvania’s economic development. Efficient transportation networks are essential for facilitating the movement of goods, connecting businesses to markets, and supporting trade.
“I look forward to serving on the committee and sharing the concerns of my constituents with my colleagues on the committee,” Scheuren said.
