HARRISBURG – Rep. Donna Scheuren (R-Montgomery) today announced that the Harleysville Community Fire Company in Lower Salford Township and the Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company in Upper Salford Township have been awarded loans to purchase new firetrucks.
These loans come from the annual Fire and EMS Loan Program that is operated by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
“I am thrilled to see both the Harleysville Community Fire Company and the Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company receive these loans,” said Scheuren. “This funding ensures they can purchase new equipment to serve and protect our communities even better and faster than they do already."
Harleysville Community Fire Company received a $270,000 Loan for a 2023 Pierce Rescue Pumper and a $270,000 Loan for a 2024 Pierce Pumper.
Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company received a $200,000 Loan for a 2014 Pierce Arrow XT.
